Hi Paul,

I have few questions about your method.
First of all let me tell you that I tried almost every popular method you?ll find it on the net.
Even if I followed those methods to the letter, I had very few and small results most of the time. Right now I?m using a method with which I experience modest, slow but some kind of results. I don?t know if I ?ll reach both side and front splits with it, but right now it?s my best option. Most method promises great results, as yours, but fail to respond clearly at most of the those very simple questions:

1? How much time will need an average person to perform both splits with your method?
2? How much time per day/week is necessary to attain those splits?
3? What is the main characteristic or idea of your method?
4? What are the real risks when using your method?
5? Does your method provide a step by step routines from intermediate to advanced athelte?

Most authors will elude somehow those question with phrases like: ?depends on your age, fitness level etc. ?. Truth is I rather stay with what I know, than going on a new method, which fails to answer straightforward to those questions, and guarantee the results.

Thank you for your time.

Hey bro,
I think that age, fitness level and similar factors will effect anyone's abuility to do splits.
Can't answer most questions for sure, but from what I went through, this method seems pretty safe.
They have nice routines, preparation and stuff.

But if something is working for you, and yo comfortable with it, see where that gets you.

1? How much time will need an average person to perform both splits with your method?

It is impossible to give the exact time. There are a lot of factors that go into it. You are right that the age and your flexibility at the start will impact the amount of time that it takes to achieve splits.

2? How much time per day/week is necessary to attain those splits?

It is recommended to practice most mornings, and 3-4 afternoons or evenings. Morning and evening routines differ from each other.

3? What is the main characteristic or idea of your method?

Please read the reply to Kit's "What is elastic steel?" (http://www.elasticsteel.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?t=9).

4? What are the real risks when using your method?

The risks are very minimal. We have thousands of students pracising this method without setbacks from injuries.

5? Does your method provide a step by step routines from intermediate to advanced athlete?

The manual has progressive routines, as is usually tought in the method. Some advanced students, choose to skip the beggining section of the manual. The DVD has more numerous and more advanced techniques than the manual. You will find more answers to this here (http://www.elasticsteel.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?t=9) .

Most authors will elude somehow those question with phrases like: ?depends on your age, fitness level etc. ?. Truth is I rather stay with what I know, than going on a new method, which fails to answer straightforward to those questions, and guarantee the results.

Thank you for your time.

Hi Paul
Thank your for your answers, and yes of course I have more questions :D :
1)
It is impossible to give the exact time. There are a lot of factors that go into it. You are right that the age and your flexibility at the start will impact the amount of time that it takes to achieve splits.
I was talking about an average person. Let?s say for someone around 33 years old, in pretty good shape, already on a stretching program, 12-15 cm from the ground in front splits and 30 cm on side splits. What will be your time estimate for the person described above to reach both front and side splits using your method?
2) How many pages is the manual?
3) Can I see a Table of contents?
4) I don?t see your DVD in the products section. Can I have more details about the DVD? Total duration, number of exercises, routines outlined etc.

Thank you for your time

Hi Paul,

I forgot this one:

It is recommended to practice most mornings, and 3-4 afternoons or evenings. Morning and evening routines differ from each other.

What is the duration of morning stretch and of the evening stretch? A total per week will be?.?

What's up Vic.

You said 30 cm from side split? Are you strong? If you are, probably 2-3 months. It took me a little over 2.
In the morning it takes me joint rotations-2 min, jugging 3-5 min, let swings 2 min, light stretches- 10-12 min. You can choose more if you want. The later in the day routine I do with my kicking and leg work out that takes 2 hours. Part of it is stretching half an hour or so.

Hiya,

I tried the toe-touch test on the website and was astounded to see the difference that it made - are all of the pre-stretching movements as effective as that one?

Sorry to make my first post a question... Money is a bit short at the moment, so I'm really looking to buy just one book on stretching - so if anyone can tell me what really makes these techniques standout, that would be appreciated and also what differentiates this book from all of the rest?

Thanks :)

Hi Bill,
there are a number of stretches in the book using the same principle that you saw to be effective. Some for the hamstrings, some for the inner thigh.
But the book has more useful stuff, like extended lengh conditioning, which I think are unique to this book.
This method worked for me in terms of getting splits. If that's what you want, you will find plenty in there.

Hi Son,

Thanks for the reply... I tried the toe touch method again tonight and discovered that it wasn't nearly so effective - is that normal or was I dreaming last night when I tried it the first time?

Your body goes through different cycles and stuff. There are allot of variables that make you more flexible/ less flexible on any given day.
