Hello, it seems like you still lack the flexibility to throw a high kick. You also lack control over those toes so they point outwards. When you're doing the seated hamstring stretches then just move the foot to point upwards. Or you can reach out and help the toes to point upwards.Continue with the HFS to gain more strength and flexibility. In time you will gain more control. This is my guess -)

I was wondering if Superfoot or anyone else could help me with a stretching problem I've been having recently.
Ever since I started martial arts I've never been able to keep my legs straight when stretching my hamstrings since, whenever I do, I feel a odd pull at the back of my knees rather than the hamstrings themselves. After doing a quick bit of research, I found out that this was due to the fact I was actually probably stretching my knee tendons rather than the hamstring muscles and I should remedy this by bending my knees a little during the stretch.
This was all fine, however, recently I've found that I've had to bend my legs more and more to shift the stretch feeling from my knees to the back of my thighs. Now I've got to a point where I struggle to get any stretch from my hamstrings at all. No matter what I try, the stretch feeling starts at the back of my knees and stays there.
Why do my legs do this too me? I've always treated my legs nicely, taken them for walks and made sure they're well fed. What's going on?
If anyone has got any ideas on how to remedy my problem it would be very much appreciated.
