That is what my master does sometimes. He tells us to "kick up". That doesn't do much. I mean most of us can throw kicks a little bit higher, but the trunk drops and technique looks sloppy.
I tried the kick with the band, may be next month lol

that book showen there doesnt show any leg activities that use the rubber bands. Like the on shown there in the phase 3 of side kick form picture, i thought when getting that book it would show stuff using the rubber bands, it only has one activity using them :(.

Yeah, the band is used mainly for conditioning. May be the other stuff is too difficult. But try to kick and have the band on the extended arms like that, it's super difficult to do.
Right now I am focusing on mastering the exercises in the book.

What the resistance band does in the picture is pull the body away from the kick.
It makes the core and probably legs and even arms work harder. Paul's upper body is almost vertical and kicking leg is almost horizontal. I think you need to do that first and than add the extra opposing forces such as what he does in the picture.

Dynamic and static flexibility are only very loosely linked therefore performing these moves slowly is unlikely to have much crossover to improved kicking strength and flexibility unless I am missing something...

I guess it depends on kicking strength at which height?

I guess it depends on kicking strength at which height?

What does that sentence mean?
