I'm not involved in the martial arts and currently have no desire to become involved. I would like to develop more/some flexibility however as I am currently VERY inflexible. I've lifted weights for years but have neglected the flexibility component of fitness. Is this the place for me and if so which of the products sold here would be a good place to start.

What's up Stan,
I think both books have overall flexibility routines.
Elasticsteel focuses more on the lower.
Gravity Advantage focuses more on the upper body.

I am guessing you looking to get more lower body flexibility. That's into ElasticSteel direction.

Thanks Just.

Yeah ,my major focus is lower body but at this point I need a little of everything. Wish I had continued mobility training in some form, as I have definitely gotten stiff. Functional mobility and strength are goals. I'm looking for the BEST and reasonably fastest way to achieve what I can.

When you say functional, are you implying for a specific sport or activity, Stan?

Specific no,but both my wife and myself love all kinds of general activity. Anything from skiing (powder to water) bike riding, weightlifting, etc. I might also mention that part of my job is quite physical and my general stiffness is starting to impinge upon my activity level.

I understand that arthritis is a given as we age but I want to fight it all the way. To me mobility means productivity AND fun.

Thanks to all who have replied.

Stan,
you may want to read Paul Zaichik's article on water and apple cider vinegar.

Where can I get that artcile? I'd love to read it. And, can we get more of what Paul has written, but I mean, not books, just articles on the internet somewhere.
Thanks.
